Our dress code is designed to create an energetic, lively, and consistent atmosphere at our school compatible with our vision of an educational wonderland appropriate to young children. We hope to instill in students a sense of belonging to an educational community by wearing clothing that is different from what is worn in informal settings. A dress code can help set “the tone” for the serious work that is done at school. Our policy is a “dress code” and not a school uniform, meaning you will not be required to buy specific brands of clothing. At Franklin Discovery, we would like to enjoy the benefits of a dress code (less disciplinary problems, improved behavior, security) without putting an extreme burden on families to buy expensive clothing.
