Civil rights policy

In accordance with Federal and Utah State law, Franklin Discovery Academy does not discriminate based on race, creed, color, religion, national origin or ability/disability status.

Nondiscrimination, Anti-Harassment/Retaliation and Bullying Policy

Franklin Discovery Academy is committed to creating and maintaining an environment free of discrimination, harassment, bullying and retaliation that are unlawful and/or prohibited by Franklin. Franklin prohibits discrimination, including harassment and retaliation, by Franklin employees, students, contractors, or agents of Franklin and by anyone participating in an Franklin sponsored activity against an individual based on a protected classification. Protected classification includes race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected category. Franklin also prohibits retaliation because an individual has engaged in a protected activity. Bullying of students by other students at school or at school related functions is not permitted at Franklin.

Franklin will take prompt and appropriate action to thoroughly investigate complaints under this policy, and prevent, correct and, if necessary, discipline individuals who engage in behavior that violates this policy in accordance with Franklin policies. All members of the Franklin community are responsible for participating in creating an environment free from all forms of prohibited discrimination and bullying and for cooperating with Franklin officials who investigate allegations of policy violations.

Franklin does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
